Island Renewable Energy appreciates the concerns of communities within the areas our projects area being developed. We believe in actively collaborating with our neighbours for mutual benefits. This long term partnership can involve developer funding and refurbishment of local amenities or financial participation in other local initiatives.
Island believes where possible in the principle of “keep it local”. Hence local suppliers/personal will be utilised at the various stages of the project development and during the eventual construction and operation of the plant. This boost to the local economy is also supplementary to the increased expenditure on local services by other development employees.
Renewable energy deployment is continuing with the support of local, regional and national governments, spurred on by regulatory support. By participating in the renewable schemes, local communities ensure they receive their share of the financial incentive, enhance their local community and simultaneously sustaining their local economy and environment.
